CDIN is an NGO and a platform for bringing together stakeholders in Nigeria to work on a common interest of addressing gaps in cryptography related developments including crypto-currencies and crypto-ransomwares. Lack of Awareness and Stakeholders collaboration are the two major gaps we have identified for now. Identified stakeholders includes institutions in the following sectors: Education, Defense, Economy and Technology.
The CDIN recently launched a Campus Blockchain Development Programme (CBDP) through its Nigeria Blockchain Alliance initiative by conducting a campus blockchain hackathon. The programme was started in pilot phase that involves only a few higher institutions in Nigeria. The schools that participated in the pilot includes Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), University of Nigeria (UNN), Covenant University and Kwara State University.
